This week P3 were tasked with inventing their own toy using junk materials. To say we are impressed is an understatement!! How amazing are their creations? π
P3 really enjoyed learning about the artist Kandinsky and creating lovely water colour Valentines art π
P3 had a great morning making symmetrical pictures in our outdoor Numeracy task. We were so creative!
P3 have been exploring their new topic of Toys! We have been comparing the similarities and differences between toys of today and toys of the past. This week the children brought their favourite toy into school so they could paint a picture of it. We canβt wait to get their masterpieces up on display! πΌ

P3 were learning about the properties of ice today! We observed the impact of different variables on our ice blocks to find out which one melted the ice the fastest π§βοΈβοΈ
P3 had a special visitor to the classroom this week and he brought lots of treats πͺπ«βοΈπ
P3 have been enjoying our animal topic! During activity based learning, the children had fun making shelters for the animals, calculating the length of different animals, and painting! π¨π¦π¦ππ

This is Anti-Bullying Week and our P7 ambassadors have been helping encourage everyone to think about the importance of βOne Kind Wordβ π Yesterday they visited P3 with their photo booth!
P3 had fun learning about why leaves change colour in autumn ππ. They carried out a science investigation using chromatography to explore the colorful pigments leaves have hidden inside of them.π¬
Our Key Stage 1 children have had lots of fun today getting outside to celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day! #outdoorclassroomday
Key stage 1 have been taking part in STEM activities and learning about spider webs. We have looked at the importance of flexibility and strength, and how spider webs have influenced the design of many products that we use every day. The children were set the challenge of designing and engineering a spider web of their own, and they did not disappoint! I think we have a few budding engineers in KS1. Β πΈπ·
P3 had fun taking an autumn walk around the school grounds and writing about what they could see, hear, smell and feel. We also got to visit the outdoor classroom and explore our autumn leaves π
